In A.D. 2154,the story’s protagonist, Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), is a former U.S. Marine who was wounded and paralyzed from the waist down in combat on Earth. Jake is selected to participate in the Avatar program, which will enable him to walk. Jake travels to Pandora. This world is a lush and sentient-inhabited jungle-covered satellite of Polyphemus, one of three gas giants that orbit Alpha Centauri A,4.3 light years from Earth.

Pandora's biosphere is filled with incredible life forms, some beautiful, many terrifying. This world is also home to the Na’vi, a sentient humanoid race, who are considered primitive, yet are more physically capable than humans. Standing three meters tall (approximately 10 feet), with tails and sparkling blue skin, the Na’vi live in harmony with their unspoiled world. As humans encroach deeper into Pandora's forests in search of valuable minerals, the Na’vi unleash their formidable warrior abilities to defend their threatened existence.

Jake has unwittingly been recruited to become part of this encroachment. Since humans are unable to breathe the air on Pandora, they have created genetically-bred human-Na’vi hybrids known as Avatars. On Pandora, through his Avatar body, Jake will be able to walk again. Sent deep into Pandora's jungles as a scout for the soldiers that will follow, Jake encounters many of Pandora's beauties and dangers. There he meets a young Na’vi female, Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña).

Over time, Jake integrates himself into the Na'vi clan, and begins to fall in love with Neytiri. As a result, Jake finds himself caught between the military-industrial forces of Earth and the Na’vi, forcing him to choose sides in an epic battle that will decide the fate of Pandora.

Thanks to the crash training from Harry, our self admitted “monster” is able to fake normal emotions and keep up his appearance as a socially responsible human being. Following the most sacred instruction of Harry’s code, Dexter kills people who deserve it… criminals who killed many times with no remorse. To cut a long story short, “Dexter” is a wonderful new look at the crime drama.

Dr. Gregory House’s world renowned department only receives patients who have very rare diagnoses, but realistic… “a conglomeration of all the worst things that can happen to people from all over the world, crammed into one little community” (Andrew Holtz). The patients are usually misdiagnosed and under the circumstances, receive the wrong treatment which leads to further complications.

Using the new symptoms, House and his team manage to put the correct diagnosis. Believe it or not, often their mission is made heavy because the patients lie about symptoms and circumstances. Our diagnostician believes in an edict: “All patients lie.” They lie about how bad they actually feel, about where they were when they first felt sick and even about their own bad habits.

The series also centers on House’s drug addiction. Because of a leg injury, he is addicted to Vicodin, but says: “(The pills)… let me do my job and they take away my pain.” Though House is unquestionably a brilliant diagnostician, he is cynic, misanthrope, a stiff neck and difficult man. Despite that, his great team, formed by the oncologist James Wilson, House’s only friend, Dr. Eric Foreman, a neurologist with a troubled past, Dr. Robert Chase and the immunologist Dr. Allison Cameron who sparks with the always distant House, supports him.

Dave wastes no time in introducing Carl to women, only for both of Carl's attempts to be foiled by Dave himself, including Carl's first crush, Quentin's niece, Marianne (Talulah Riley), although, by the end of the film, Carl and Marianne make up and get together. Simon also is unlucky in love, meeting and marrying the too-good-to-be-true Elenore (January Jones) only to find her affections are really placed with the returning "king of the airwaves", Gavin (Rhys Ifans). The Count objects to Gavin's antics with Elenore, leading to a clash of egos that ends in a truce after both suffer physical injuries jumping from the top of the ship's radio mast in a contest of courage.

Kevin, in an unusually insightful moment, points out to Carl that Radio Rock is clearly no place to be sent to clean up his act and suggests that the real reason Carl's mother sent him there is that his father, who he has never met, is among the crew, nominating Quentin as the most likely suspect. When his mother Charlotte (Emma Thompson) visits for Christmas, Carl asks her about Quentin, only for her to deny it. As she leaves the boat, Carl passes on a cryptic message from Smooth Bob ("Muddy Waters rocks"), which leads to the unexpected revelation that Bob, not Quentin, is Carl's father, something that throws both father and son.

Radio Rock's controversial on-air antics have ruffled the feathers of a government minister, Dormandy, (Kenneth Branagh), who instructs his subordinate Twatt (Jack Davenport) to find a way to take down pirate radio, despite its popularity among the pop hungry masses. After a couple of attempts to deprive the station of advertising funding backfire, Twatt encounters a news story of a fishing boat whose call for help failed to get through because of Radio Rock's powerful signal swamping the frequency and realises that this can be used to ban pirate radio for good. He proposes the creation of the Marine Offences Act, which passes through Parliament without any shown opposition.

With the Act due to come into force, the crew of Radio Rock choose to defy the act, for various different personal reasons, and continue to broadcast. Twatt leads a group of boats out into the North Sea to board the pirate ship and arrest the crew, only to find a fishing vessel anchored there instead. Quentin has given the order to fire up the ship's aging engines and move their position. Unfortunately, the strain proved too much for the decrepit boat: the engines backfire severely and the ship begins to sink as the DJs broadcast their position. The crew assemble on the upper deck, Carl rescuing the oblivious Bob from his cabin, leading to an apparent reconciliation between the pair, while the Count vows to continue broadcasting as long as possible. Dormandy forbids Twatt from sending out rescue craft, however, many fans have also heard the broadcast and come to rescue the crew as the ship sinks below the waves, with the Count emerging from the water at the very last second.

The film concludes with captions stating that, despite the end of "the golden age of pirate radio", the dream lives on, with 299 music radio stations across the UK playing rock and pop music 24 hours a day, and that, forty years on, rock and roll is still going strong, ending with a montage of successful music albums covering the entire forty year period.

Actress Milla Jovovich introduces herself, and explains that she will play Dr. Abagail Tyler, a psychiatrist, in the re-enactment scenes of the movie, and they will be mixed in with the actual real videotaped events. She warns us that what we are about to see is "very disturbing, and that at the end, we must choose what to believe.

The real Dr. Abigail Tyler has a taped interview in 2002, at Chapman University, and begins to retell her story. Two years prior to the taped interview, we pick up her story in Anchorage, Alaska, as she is telling her friend and fellow psychiatrist, Dr. Abel Campos (Elias Koteas), what happened to her and her family, and he puts her under hypnosis so that she can remember what has happened. She goes back to a night, where after making love with her husband, Will (also a psychiatrist, and doing research on unexplained phenomenon in his patients), they fall asleep. She is awakened by a sound, and while groggy and still not quite awake, her husband is brutally, repeatedly stabbed, right next to her in bed. She screams, and yet cannot see who it is. Terrified and hysterical, Dr. Campos brings her out of hypnosis. It has been just 2 months since her husband’s death, and the case is still unsolved. Dr. Campos encourages her to take some time off, but she refuses, explaining that Will’s research meant a lot to him, and she needs to finish it for him.

She flies back home, to Nome, Alaska, and gets back to her job and family. She begins her work at her practice, and tapes sessions with 3 different patients, all of whom have the exact same experience: they have difficulty sleeping at night, and each one has seen a white owl at their window, every night this week, just staring at them. One patient remembers the same owl visiting her as a child. Another patient, Scott, says somehow, it got in his house. Patient Tommy agrees.

Abby goes home, and has dinner with her 2 children, Ashley and Ronnie. Ronnie is a young teen, and Ashley is a grade schooler. Ashley is suffering from Conversion Disorder since her father was killed, and is blind. Abby fears that she will never regain her vision. Ronnie blames his mother for his father’s death, and argues with her, and leaves the table. In her bedroom, Abby dictates into a tape recorder, her thoughts about her patients, and falls asleep. The next day, she gives the tape recorder to her assistant to transcribe.

The next day, patient Tommy, a middle-aged man, comes for a session with Abby. After he is hypnotized, he tells how he saw the owl again, and then knows something is in the house and right outside his door. He becomes agitated, and starts screaming “No! No!” and then tries to crawl away, knocking over a lamp and breaking it in the doctor’s office. He is hysterical, and Abby quickly brings him out of hypnosis. When she asks him what he saw, he says, “…nothing” and leaves, saying he’ll talk about it next time.

Abby is woken up by the phone ringing later at night: it is Sheriff August, and he tells her that Tommy has taken his family hostage and holding them at gunpoint, and won’t talk to anyone but her. She quickly dresses and drives over, and sees the house surrounded by police. As she talks to Tommy on the phone, she sees him through the windows. He is holding his wife at gunpoint, and his children are also there. He says, “I’m so sorry, but I gotta do this”, and as she tries desperately to keep him talking, he mumbles something in a strange language, and then he shoots his wife, the children, and himself. The sheriff interviews Abby at the station and wants to know what Tommy said, and what he saw. He doesn’t believe any of the mysterious things, and is hostile. She tells him that there have been more unsolved murders or missing people in the past 3 years in Nome, than any other city in Alaska. This angers the sheriff, and he clearly thinks Abby is wrong about Tommy and her research.

Dr. Campos flies to Nome to check on her, and again tries to convince Abby to take time off and rest. She refuses, and he decides to stay and keep an eye on her. Abby hypnotizes Scott, and other patient who has difficulty sleeping and also sees the white owl, and Dr. Campos observes. Scott brings his wife, and she is there during the session, which is being taped. Once hypnotized, he recounts seeing the owl, but says it isn’t a normal owl. He tenses, and remembers trying to wake his wife, to no avail. He knows someone is outside his door, and then we hear creaking sounds, and he begins screaming. He chokes, and writhes, and is hysterically screaming. Abby wakes him up, and he stumbles off the couch and vomits. He tells her he saw them, and said, “they’re not from here”. He said they smelled like putrid cinnamon, and they have voices inside his head, and talk inside his mind. He knows he was taken away, but can’t remember where to or what they did. After they leave, Abby discusses what happened with Dr. Campos and suggests alien abduction as a possible theory. Dr. Campos is skeptical, and thinks it must have a more logical cause or explanation.

The next day, Abby’s assistant returns the tape recorder, and is quite upset by what she heard and refuses to transcribe it. Abby listens to the tape at home that evening, and can’t believe what she hears: after she fell asleep, she hears a creaking and then she hears herself screaming, and also hears some garbled, unknown language. She hears a scratching sound, and finds fingernail scratches on the hardwood floor, and knows she’s been abducted.

The next day, she calls Dr. Odusami, the author of a book about ancient peoples and their hieroglyphics. He tells her that her husband also called him earlier and asked questions. He tells her that the language she heard is probably Sumerian, the oldest known language, predating the Bible and that he understood a few words: “ruin” and “destroy”.

We hear the explanation of the different kinds of extra-terrestrial encounters, and defined in 1972: 1st Kind-sighting, 2nd Kind-evidence, 3rd Kind; contact with extra-terrestrial, and 4th Kind: abduction.

Later, she gets a phone call from Scott’s wife-he is in bed, hysterical, and panicked. He has an unexplained bruise on his upper arm, and wants to be hypnotized again, to get the voices out of his head. Once under hypnosis with Abby and Dr. Campos and the videotape going, he bolts up, awake and screams, his mouth stretched open huge and distorted, and he yells, mumbles and then collapses, and screams in terror. Sheriff August goes to Abby’s house and tells her Scott’s neck is broken and he is paralyzed from the neck down. He blames her and starts to arrest her. Dr. Campos pleads to leave her with her children, and he relents, but says she cannot leave her house, and puts a cop out front to guard it.

At 3:30am, Deputy Ryan who has been keeping watch, apparently fell asleep in his car out front. He wakes up, and sees something near the house, and gets out to investigate. The videotape recorder in his car is running, and we see him, until is inexplicably gets interference and the picture is blurred. He yells that he sees something, and then rushes in the house. Abby’s daughter, Ashley, is missing. Abby says she saw a beam of light and they took Ashley through the ceiling and was abducted. The sheriff thinks she is crazy and removes her son from her custody.

To get Ashley back, Abby decides that she must be hypnotized, to try to remember what she saw. Dr. Campos and Dr. Odusami tape her session, and once hypnotized, she remembers seeing the white owl, looking down at her, smiling. Then she says it isn’t really an owl, and begins screaming. She also screams in Sumerien “I…am God”, yet it isn’t her voice. Something is injected into her shoulder by the unseen being and she remembers drills, and the tape goes blurry again. Abby narrates and says all 3 of them were abducted, and then returned. They have no memory of where they went or what happened to them, but she remembers feeling total hopelessness. She didn’t see Ashley or know what has happened to her while abducted—she is still missing.

Abby is in a hospital bed, with a neck brace on, and Sheriff August is at her side. He asks her once again to explain how her husband died. Before she can speak, he shows her 2 photos: one of her husband’s head—with a bullet wound in the temple, and another of a pistol, which was found at the scene. He explains that her husband actually killed himself. She realizes that she couldn’t handle what she saw, and her mind invented the stabbing memory as a coping measure.

We are updated on the current status of the characters: Dr. Abby Tyler is living on the East Coast. She is bedridden with deteriorating health, and under a doctor’s supervision. She was cleared of any involvement in Ashley’s disappearance. She still firmly believes Ashley was taken by a non-human intelligence. Ronnie is now 22, and estranged from his mother; he still blames her for his sister’s disappearance. Dr. Campos is still a practicing psychiatrist in Alaska. He corroborated her story and the tapes. Sheriff August retired 2 years after the story took place. Ashley has never been found.

The film follows Ann Arbor Daily Telegram reporter Bob Wilton (Ewan McGregor), who one day interviews Gus Lacey, a man who claims to have psychic abilities. Bob shrugs Lacey off as crazy. Soon after, Bob's wife leaves him for his one-armed editor. Bob, out of anger, flies to Kuwait to investigate the Iraq War. However, he stumbles onto the story of a lifetime when he meets Special Forces operator, Lyn Cassady (George Clooney). Lyn reveals that he was part of an American army unit training psychic spies (or "Jedi Warriors"), trained to develop a range of parapsychological skills including invisibility, remote viewing, cloud bursting, walking through walls, and intuition.

The founder of this unit, Bill Django (Jeff Bridges), travelled across America in the 1970s for six years exploring a range of New Age movements (including the Human potential movement), because of a vision he received after getting shot during the Vietnam War, and used these experiences to found the New Earth Army. In the 1980s, two of Django's best recruits were Lyn Cassady and Larry Hooper (Kevin Spacey), who developed a lifelong rivalry because of their opposing views of how to implement the New Earth Army philosophy; Lyn wanted to emphasize the positive side of the teachings, whereas Larry was more interested in the dark side of the philosophy.

In the early 2000s Bob and Lyn embark on a new mission in Iraq, where they are kidnapped by a criminal gang. They escape with fellow kidnapping victim Mahmud Daash (Waleed Zuaiter) and get rescued by a private security firm led by Todd Nixon (Robert Patrick), but get caught up in a firefight between Todd's security firm and a rival security firm; this would later be known as the "Battle of Ramadi." Mahmud, Bob and Lyn escape from the firefight and go to Mahmud's house, which has been shot up by soldiers. From there Bob and Lyn leave to continue on Lyn's vague mission involving a vision he had of Bill Django.

After their car hits an IED, Bob and Lyn wander in the desert where Lyn reveals a terrible secret to Bob: Lyn was asked to stop a goat's heart to test the limit of his mental abilities. Lyn had decided against it, but was compelled to try to accomplish the feat and stared at the goat intently. Lyn managed to stop the goat's heart, but felt that what he did was inhumane and against the entire purpose of the New Earth Army. Lyn left the Army, believing that he and the other New Earth soldiers were cursed and his powers were gone because of that fateful episode. After spending a few days in the desert, Bob and Lyn get rescued and rehabilitated at a camp run by PSIC, a private research firm engaged in psychological and psychic experiments on a herd of goats and some captured locals. To Lyn's dismay, Larry Hooper runs the firm and employs a now depressed and alcoholic Django.

Bob spends time with Django and learns the ways of the New Earth Army and together they spike the water and food of the base with LSD and free both the goats and captured locals. Following this, Lyn and Django fly off in a Bell JetRanger helicopter, but not before trusting Bob with the duty of making sure his story reaches the public. Bob reveals that neither Lyn nor Django were ever heard from again, believed to have crashed their helicopter.

Bob returns to work as a reporter and writes an article about his entire experience with Lyn. However, the only portion of the story to be aired on the news was how the captives were forced to repeatedly listen to the Barney & Friends theme song. However, this part of the story was treated as a joke, and Bob vows to continue trying to get the story out. In the film's final scene, Bob exercises his own psychic abilities and runs through a solid wall in his office.

I have to state that I’m a movie buff and an Asian martial artist so my review might be a bit critical as evidenced by the lively teenagers who were gleefully shaking the cinema (”Ninja” is shown in Malaysian theaters instead of direct-to-dvd like in the Us) seats as blood was splashing and heads were rolling. “Ninja” (2009) isn’t as hyped up as “Ninja Assassin” (2009), which came up as my first Google search when I had tried to ascertain what the movie was about after seeing its enigmatic cinema poster ad depicting a stereotypical ninja with the backdrop of New York city. So, I went into the cinema without much expectation. The movie started out well enough with a quick historical overview of Ninjas in Japan followed by a beautiful take of a Japanese dojo showing martial artists performing their “kata” or set moves.

On her 18th birthday, Bella Swan wakes up from a dream in which she sees herself as an old woman. She expresses her distaste with growing older than her boyfriend Edward Cullen, a vampire who physically stopped aging at 17. Despite her lack of enthusiasm, Edward's adoptive family throws Bella a birthday party. While unwrapping a gift, Bella gets a paper cut, causing Edward's brother, Jasper, to become overwhelmed by her blood's scent and attempt to kill her. Realizing that he and his family pose a danger to Bella, Edward ends their relationship, and the Cullens leave Forks, Washington permanently.

Edward's departure leaves Bella heartbroken and depressed for months. However, when her father, Charlie, wants her to live with her mother in Florida, Bella agrees to spend time with her friends. After a movie with Jessica, Bella sees a group of men on motorcycles. This reminds her of when Edward previously rescued her from an assault, and she sees his image warning her to stay away. Bella discovers that thrill-seeking activities evoke Edward's preserved image. She is also comforted by her deepening friendship with Jacob Black, a cheerful companion who eases her pain over losing Edward. When Jacob is unable to see Bella for weeks, she discovers that he is a werewolf, an age-old enemy of vampires. Jacob's pack members are on constant patrol for Victoria, a vampire searching to kill Bella due to the death of her mate, leaving Jacob little time to spend with her. Alone again, Bella returns to seeking thrill-inducing activities.

Through a series of miscommunications, Edward believes Bella has killed herself. Distraught over her supposed suicide, Edward flees to Italy to provoke the Volturi, a powerful vampire coven capable of killing him, by exposing himself in the sunlight. Alice, Edward's sister, and Bella rush to Italy to save Edward, and arrive just in time to stop him. However, the Volturi determine that Bella, a human who knows that vampires exist, must either be killed or transformed into a vampire herself. Alice stops them from killing her by sharing her premonition with Aro, a Volturi elder who is able to read thoughts, in which Bella has been transformed. Returning to Forks, Edward tells Bella that he always loved her and only left to protect her. She forgives him, and the Cullens vote in favor of Bella being transformed into a vampire, to Edward and Jacob's dismay. Edward gives Bella a choice: either she lets Alice change her after their graduation, or, if Bella agrees to marry him, he will change her himself. However, Jacob reminds Edward of the treaty the Cullens made with the Quileutes: they will not attack each other, as long as the Cullens never bite a human.

The film opens with the gang initiation of a boy on a council estate in South London, and in a scene apparently filmed on a mobile phone, three gang members harass and shoot dead a mother walking her child. While attempting to escape by motorcycle, they speed across a road in front of an oncoming truck and are also killed. The titular Harry Brown (Caine), an elderly former Royal Marine suffering from emphysema, wakes to news of these deaths over the radio. With his wife sick in hospital, in order to visit her Harry must cut through a public underpass which is a gathering spot at all hours by local chavs and gang members.

Though seeing the increasingly brutal facts of life on the estate (including a man beaten for attempting to intervene when his car is broken into by a gang of youths) Harry is unwilling to get involved. In fact, it seems his only real friend is Leonard (Bradley), another pensioner who complains that hooligans put dog faeces through his letterbox and spit on him. The pair play chess at a pub run by Sid (Cunningham), who takes kickbacks from a pair of drug and arms dealers, which Leonard cannot forgive but Harry is willing to ignore. That night Harry is informed his wife is dying, but in order to reach the hospital before she passes away he must go through the underpass, something he is scared enough not to do. By the time he finds an alternative route to the hospital his wife is already dead. After the funeral, Leonard confides that he can no longer take the insults and indignities the youths foist upon him and he shows Harry a First World War bayonet he has taken to carrying in his jacket. When Harry tells him he should put the knife away and talk to the police, Leonard admits he has done so but they ignored him. That night Leonard wakes in his flat to find someone has put burning dog faeces through his letterbox.

The following day Harry is informed by DI Frampton (Mortimer) and DS Hicock (Creed-Miles) that Leonard was murdered in the underpass. Members of a local youth gang, including Noel Winters (Drew), are arrested but refuse to answer questions, and are released. Although sympathetic, Frampton admits to Harry that because Leonard was murdered with his own bayonet the crime will be put down to manslaughter or self-defence, which appalls Harry even more. In the aftermath of Leonard's funeral (which only Harry attends in full), Harry gets drunk at Sid's pub and, while walking home, is attacked by one of Winters' recently released gang members (Oakes) hoping to rob him. In a drunken daze, Harry's muscle memory takes control and he turns the knife on the robber, killing him. Rushing home and washing the blood off himself, he decides on some sort of vengeance.

Harry follows one of the drug-dealers, Kenny (Gilgun), from Sid's pub to a squalid den and manages to talk himself inside on the pretext of purchasing a pistol to "shoot pigeons on his roof." The drugged-up dealers are growing copious amounts of cannabis and making pornography, and when Harry arrives, one of the girls abused in these videos is sprawled on the sofa suffering from a drug overdose. The scarred and sinister dominant one of the two dealers, Stretch (Harris), explains that he keeps her in a drugged state in order to use her as a prostitute. Harry recommends the dealers phone for an ambulance to help the girl, and after being threatened with a pistol ends up killing both the dealers, setting fire to the cannabis and driving the comatose girl to a local hospital. The police are further confused at the seemingly random killings of the dealers coupled with the "rescue" of the girl. Harry now has fire-power.

Further surveillance of the youth gang (including more theft and assault) leads Harry on to kill a major drug-trafficker and kidnap Marky (O'Connell), a newly inducted member of the chav gang (who, we were told earlier, has been sexually abused throughout his life and is seen here giving oral sex to the trafficker for drugs). Harry tortures the boy and threatens to kill him, whereupon Marky admits footage of Leonard's murder was recorded on his phone. After watching the footage, and knowing who among the gang committed the murder, Harry takes the boy (bound in sellotape and on a dog's leash) down to the underpass, where Winters and another gang member are making out with underage girls. After a tense scene in the darkness, the ensuing gun battle sees Winters escape, Marky and another gang member killed, and Harry suffering an emphysema attack, leaving him to be taken to hospital.

Certain that the murders of drug-dealers are related to a gang-war, Police Superintendent Childs (Glen) orders an operation to arrest major players in the estate's criminal fraternity. DI Frampton remains unconvinced, however, and informs him that her investigation has led her to believe Harry (who has links to all the dead) is the killer. The Superintendent has her removed from the case and transferred to another department. The late-night, no-knock raids on various gang members of the estate results in a riot, with teenagers from across the area coming to "join the fun" in attacking the police. As the estate burns, Harry discharges himself from hospital and heads off to get his final vengeance on the vindictive Winters. DI Frampton, fearful for both Harry and Winters safety, takes a cynical DS Hicock into the rioting estate to find the pair before more blood is spilled. In the process the two police detectives are attacked by yobs and Hicock is badly injured. Harry rescues them and takes them to Sid's pub, where he tells Sid to phone an ambulance.

While Sid is out of the room Frampton drops a bombshell on Harry, telling him that Sid is Winters' uncle and therefore Sid has actually been part of the gang all along. Searching the pub, Harry finds both Winters and Sid, and shows Sid the phone footage of what his nephew did to Leonard. Sid seems horrified by it, but tells Harry he cannot allow his blood relative to be murdered too. Harry, torn between his friendship and still suffering from emphysema, is tricked into turning his pistol over to Sid, who proceeds to beat Harry up.

In the climax, Frampton tries to phone for armed backup but is stopped by Winters. Taking charge, Sid tells Winters the only solution is to kill Harry, Hicock and Frampton, and then dump their bodies outside. Sid suffocates the injured Hicock to death with his bare hands, while Winters begins strangling Frampton. Suddenly Harry draws a hidden revolver and shoots Winters dead. Just as the anguished Sid goes to shoot Harry a pair of laser sight appear on his chest - showing Frampton's call to her superiors did make it through. Before Sid can fire he is gunned down by CO19 officers.

At a conference held after the riot, SI Childs explains that DS Hicock would be given a posthumous commendation and that the actions of the police helped lower crime on the estate, going on to refute claims that a "vigilante" had anything to do with it. The final scene is of Harry Brown walking toward the underpass, which is now silent and safe.

This Is It was a planned series of fifty concerts by Michael Jackson to be held at The O2 arena in London. They were scheduled to begin in July 2009 and continue through March 2010. Less than three weeks before the first concert date, and with all concerts sold out, Jackson died after suffering cardiac arrest.

Jackson officially announced the concerts at a press conference held inside The O2 arena. AEG Live, the concert promoters, released a promotional video that took up an entire commercial break, setting a record for ITV. The shows were to be Jackson's first major series of concerts since the HIStory World Tour finished in 1997, and had been cited as one of the year's most important musical events. Over one million people would have attended in total. Randy Phillips, president and chief executive of AEG Live, stated that the first 10 dates alone would have earned the singer approximately £50 million. Originally only 10 concerts were announced, however public demand resulted in a 50 date sold out residency. Ticket sales broke several records and AEG Live stated that Jackson could have sold more dates. Jackson's album sales increased following the announcement.

In preparation for the concert series, the pop singer had been collaborating with numerous high profile figures, such as fashion designer Christian Audigier, choreographer Kenny Ortega and bodybuilder Lou Ferrigno. Prior to Jackson's death, Allgood Entertainment had planned to sue the musician for $40 million, claiming that he had breached an exclusivity agreement with them by agreeing to the This Is It concerts.

In light of Jackson's passing, AEG Live offered either full refunds to all ticket holders or a special souvenir ticket designed by the entertainer. The cancelled 50 shows, its record breaking ticket sales,[1][2][3] and its potential for a worldwide tour,[4][5] deemed Jacksons shows "the greatest concerts that never happened."[6][7] Columbia Pictures acquired the footage of the show rehearsals and made a concert film entitled Michael Jackson's This Is It. The Jackson estate will get 90% of the profit made while the remaining 10% goes to AEG Live. Columbia Pictures guaranteed at least $60 million for the rights. In 1987, obese, illiterate, black 16-year-old Claireece "Precious" Jones (Gabourey Sidibe) lives in the New York City neighborhood of Harlem with her dysfunctional family; she has been raped and impregnated twice by her father, Carl, and suffers constant physical, mental and sexual abuse from her unemployed mother, Mary (Mo'Nique). The family resides in a Section 8 tenement and subsists on welfare. Her first child, known only as "Mongo" (short for "Mongoloid"), has Down Syndrome and is being cared for by Precious's grandmother.

After Precious becomes pregnant for the second time, she is suspended from school. Her junior high school principal, Mrs. Lichtenstein (Nealla Gordon) arranges to have her attend an alternative school, which she hopes can help Precious change her life's direction.[6]Precious fights to find a way out of her traumatic daily existence through imagination and fantasy. While she is being raped by her father, she looks at the ceiling and imagines herself in a music video shoot; in the video, she is the superstar and the focus of attention. While looking in photo albums, she imagines the pictures talking to her. When she looks in the mirror, she sees a pretty, white, thin, blonde girl. In her mind there is another world, one in which, unlike her real one, she is loved and appreciated.

Inspired by her new teacher Miss Rain (Paula Patton), Precious begins learning to read. Precious meets sporadically with a social worker named Miss Weiss (Mariah Carey), who learns about incest in the household when Precious blurts "my father give me a baby". She gives birth to her second child and names him Abdul. After Precious's mother deliberately drops three-day-old Abdul and hits Precious, Precious fights back long enough to get her son and flees her home permanently. Desperate to get out of the cold, she breaks into her classroom and is found there in the morning by Miss Rain. The teacher finds assistance for Precious and she begins raising her son in a half-way house while she continues academically.

Feeling dejected, Precious meets Miss Weiss, who buys the girl an orange soda, and Precious asks her "what color is you? Black? A mix?". Miss Weiss replies "what color do you think I am" and while she allows Precious to ponder this, the young girl steals her case file and flees the office. Precious is recounts the details of the file to her fellow students and has a new lease on life. Her mother comes back into her life to inform Precious that her father has died of AIDS. Later, Precious finds out that she is HIV positive, but Abdul is not. Mother and daughter see each other for the last time in Miss Weiss' office, where she questions Mary on allowing the abuse and uncovers specific traumas Precious encountered. The film ends with Precious still resolved to improve for herself and for her children. She severs ties with her family and makes plans to complete a General Educational Development test.

However, the Volturi decide that Bella, a human who knows that vampires exist, must either be killed or transformed into a vampire herself. Alice stops them from killing her by showing them a vision of the future in which Bella has been transformed. Once they return home to Forks, Edward tells Bella that he has always loved her and only left town to protect her. She forgives him, and the Cullens vote in favor of Bella being transformed into a vampire, to Edward and Jacob's dismay. Edward gives Bella a choice: either she lets Alice change her after their graduation, or, if Bella agrees to marry him, he will change her himself. However, Jacob reminds them of a treaty the Cullens have made with the werewolves: they will not attack each other, as long as the Cullens never bite a human.
